Please join us on the evening of November 17th to honor the 50th Anniversary of Freedom Summer at the 6th Annual Hidden Heroes Awards presented by The Andrew Goodman Foundation.
The Awards Ceremony will begin at 8pm and there will be a VIP reception starting at 6pm, which includes a light dinner and an opportunity to mingle with celebrities, including Steve McQueen, John Lewis, Bob Moses, Myrlie Evers, Harry Belafonte and others.
In addition to honoring today’s Hidden Heroes and Steve McQueen, director and producer of “12 Years a Slave,” this one night event will bring together Visionaries of Freedom Summer and young social justice leaders, including Million Hoodies’ own Deputy Director Dante Barry and EBONY Magazine’s Senior Digital Editor Jamilah Lemieux, to discuss the future of Freedom and Democracy.
Ticket proceeds will support the Andrew Goodman Foundation’s youth programs Vote Everywhere and Fellowship for Social Change. We hope to see you for this exciting and meaningful event.
