New York, NY On April 26th Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation will hold a community forum and rally with the parents of Trayvon Martin, along with Reverend Al Sharpton; Reverend Jesse Jackson; NAACP President, Ben Jealous; Earvin “Magic” Johnson; Stevie Wonder; Mary Mary; David Banner; Chaka Khan as well as with community activists and organizers to address the multitude of issues plaguing young people of color in this country.

The event is set to include discussions that will cover advocating for victims and their families, educating young people on conflict resolution techniques, increasing public awareness against all forms of profiling, enacting Trayvon Martin legislation, Stand Your Ground Laws, as well as how to turn our moment into a new movement to combat racial inequality.

The event will be streamed live on mhoodies.org, the website of the Million Hoodies Movement for Justice. Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation as well as the Million Hoodies Movement for Justice are calling for solidarity events throughout the country aimed at engaging in visionary organizing and collective movement building.

Organizers of the forum hope to use this as an opportunity to connect across movements, communities and groups as they work to build a united front against violence, abuse and inequality targeted at America’s young people.

The event will also feature a demonstration of a crowd-sourcing platform to help track and document incidents of police misconduct, violence, stop and frisk, etc., developed by Occupy Wall Street and Million Hoodies.
